Arbor
Nature's Iconic Form
Summary
Arbor reimagines one of nature’s most iconic forms – the tree – through the lens of light and architecture. Vertical LED tubes rise from the ground to the canopy, allowing light to visualize the unseen flow of water, nutrients, and energy within a tree.
The shifting colors, timing, and patterns of light bring these natural processes to life, revealing the quiet rhythms that surround us every day.
This permanent installation features over 6,000 programmable LEDs, spanning 24 feet in diameter and 12 feet tall, with visualizations generated in real-time.
